Patricia Ann Woodal, 68, a beloved member of her community, passed away on July 23, 2023, in Hagerstown, Maryland . She was born on April 11, 1955, in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia to the late Robert and Ora Mae Hovermale Thompson. Patricia lived a remarkable life filled with love, compassion, and devotion to her family and friends.
She was a graduate of Hancock High School
Known for her warm personality and gentle nature, Patricia touched the lives of many. She had a passion for sewing and crossword puzzles that brought joy to her leisure time. Patricia found solace in reading the Bible, finding inspiration and comfort within its pages. An avid animal lover, she cared deeply for all creatures great and small.
Patricia's impact went beyond her personal interests; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband David Lee Woodal in 1986. Her passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Left to cherish Patricia's memory are her son, David Woodal, and wife, Lori, of Berkeley Springs, WV; daughter, Beth Woodal of Berkeley Springs, WV; four grandchildren: Levi Woodal, Colby Woodal, Jasmyne Woodal, and Vallia Woodal; two great-grandchildren: Sage Woodal and Aiden Cowan; three brothers: Terry Thompson of Leetton, MO; Mark Thompson of Hopewell, PA; Timothy Thompson of Cumberland, MD; four sisters: Nancy Rinard of Hancock, MD; Jane Sarricchio of Florida; Connie Malecar of Great Cacapon,WV; and Susan Bennett of Mercersburg, PA.
Patricia Ann Woodal was a pillar of strength and a beacon of kindness to those around her. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, devotion, and positive influence on the lives she touched. Patricia's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will receive friends, Friday, July 28, 2023, 11:00 am-12:00 pm, at Hancock Assembly of God Church, 431 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Hancock, MD. Funeral Services will follow at the church at 12:00 pm. Burial will be at Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Church, 602 Thompson Road, Needmore, PA.
