Perry Clarence Johnson, age 55, of Orchard Ridge Road, died Sunday April 25, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born May 26, 1954 in Baltimore, MD., he was the son of Carson Johnson, Sr. of Hancock, MD. and the late Virginia M. Smith Johnson.
He was a 1971 graduate of Hancock High School.
He was a member of the Webster B. Harrison Post # 26 American Legion, Hancock, MD.
He was a retired truck driver for Food Lion, and he loved the outdoors.
Besides his father, he is survived by two daughters; Bridgette Nicole McNairn and Michelle Lynn Priebe, both of Hagerstown, MD., four sisters; Madeline McHoul of Hancock, MD., JoAnn DesJardin of California, Joy Yell of Danville, VA., Carolyn Witt of Easton, MD., two brothers; Kenneth Johnson and Carson "Buck" Johnson, Jr., both of Hancock, MD., two grandchildren; Christopher McNairn and Abigale McNairn, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be held Thursday April 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren. Rev. Harry Strite and Rev. Paul Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, MD. and at the Church on Thursday 10:30-11 a.m.
