Phyllis M. Shives, age 68, of Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, MD., died Friday March 26, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, MD.

Born March 5, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Mary Reed Shoemaker and widow of Ronal L. Shives, Sr. who passed away May 7, 1979.

She was a member of the Orchard Ridge First Church of God and was a 1961 graduate of Hancock High School.

She is survived by one son, Ronal L. Shives, Jr., of Hancock; three daughters, Crystal Jackson, Berkeley Springs, WV., Tracy Johnson, Hagerstown, MD., Vicki Shives, Hancock, MD.; three grandchildren, Austin, Joise, and Veronica; and three sisters, Charlotte Keifer, Hagerstown, MD., Anna Knabel, and Faye Corbett both of Hancock, MD.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; Cleveland Shoemaker, Sr., Roy Shoemaker, Stanley Shoemaker, Sr. and Earl Shoemaker; two sisters Lula Swain and Mary Hill.

There will be no viewing or calling. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 29th at 1:00 p.m. at the Orchard Ridge First Church of God Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Hawbaker will officiate.
