Reda Kathleen Unger, age 86, of Hancock, died Monday, October 24, 2011, at Berkeley Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born May 22, 1925, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Harry Erastus and Bertha E. Barnhart Faith, and the widow of Raymond Lee Unger, whom she married May 22, 1950 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and who died October 23, 1989.
She served in the U.S. Women's Army Corps from 1944 to 1946.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Ramon S. Unger and wife, Bonnie, of Hancock; and two grandchildren, Chelsea S. Unger and Garett F. Unger. She was the last member of her family.
She was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Michael Unger, and a number of sisters and brothers.
A service will be held Wednesday, October 26, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md. Adv. Presiding Elder Mark Faith will officiate. Burial, with a military service by the Tri-State Honor Guard, will be in the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Needmore, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, on Tuesday, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m.
