Richard Smith, Sr.

Richard David Smith, Sr., age 66, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Meritus Medical Center, near Hagerstown, Md.

Born May 16, 1952, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Junior and Ethel (Anderson) Smith; and the husband of Virginia Arlene (Sheppard) Smith.

He was formerly employed by Rayloc Co., in Hancock.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jeannie Lynn Smith, of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two grandsons; and five step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard David Smith, Jr.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
