Robert Albert LeBeau, age 87, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the War Memorial Hospital, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born on April 24, 1931, in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Miller) LeBeau.
He served in the U.S. Army, doing two tours of duty during the Korean Conflict.
Robert worked as a professional fire fighter, and in later years served as an EMT, retiring from the Baltimore City Fire Dept. in 1979. He remained active after moving to Pennsylvania, for many years volunteering with the C & O Canal Park Service, in Hancock, Md.
Robert is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann (Means) LeBeau, whom he married on July 29, 1960; a stepson, Carl S. Parrish, of Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Susan L. Taylor, of Warfordsburg; three grandsons, Robert Taylor, of Warfordsburg, Phillip Taylor, of Huntington, W.Va., and William Taylor, of Laurel, Md.; one great-grand daughter, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Ann LeBeau; sisters, Doris Willen, and Audrey Goan; and one niece, Dawn McGuinty.
There will be no funeral or memorial services, per his instructions.
The family requests that any memorial contributions in his name be made to the American Heart Association.
The family is deeply grateful for the excellent care that he received from the medical staff of the War Memorial Hospital, and the Valley Health professionals, who touched all of our lives.
