Robert D. Percy, age 86, of Berkeley Springs, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at his home while surrounded by his family.

Born, July 28, 1924, in Alliance, Oh., he was the son of the late Charles Franklin and Mary Viola Miller Percy.

He was retired, in 1981, from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown, Md., as a machinist.

He was a member of Victory Tabernacle, Hedgesville, W.Va.

He was known and loved by many and has touched many lives. He was a mighty man of God who loved unconditionally, as his Heavenly Father loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, June Elaine Truax Percy; two daughters, Melody Ruppenthall, and husband Mike, of Smithsburg, Md., Theresa Cole, and husband Ron, of Lexington, Ky.; four sons, James Percy, and wife Mildred, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Robert Boyle, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., John Boyle, and wife Deb, of Hagerstown, Md., Charles Percy, and wife Wanda, of Great Cacapon, W.Va.; two sisters, Goldie Little, of New Philadelphia, Oh., and Lena Kelly, of Alliance, Oh.; one brother, John Percy, of Dennison, Oh.; fifteen grandchildren; and seventeen great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert F. Percy and Timothy D. Percy; three sisters, Sarah Jones, Mary Jones and Betty Ketler; two brothers, Charles Percy and James Percy.

A service will be held Monday, January 24, at 11:00 a.m. at the Victory Tabernacle, Hedgesville, W.Va.  The Rev. Carl Clark will officiate. Burial will be in the May's Chapel Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md., Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Church on Monday 10 to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Victory Tabernacle, 34 Victory Lane, Hedgesville, W.Va. 25427, in his honor.
