Robert J. Sensel, age 67, of Falling Waters, W.Va., passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at the Berkeley Medical Center, in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born August 18, 1952, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of A. Vivian “Sis” (Younker) Sensel, of Hagerstown, Md., and the late Robert A. Sensel; and the husband of Patricia L. "Pat" (Echols) Sensel.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army; and retired after many years of employment as a truck driver with C. William Hetzer, in Hagerstown, Md. He then worked part-time for Knieriem Superior Construction and Hauling, in Hedgesville, W.Va.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 202, in Williamsport, Md.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to work on his automobiles.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Jason A. Sensel of Falling Waters; a daughter, Hannah Sensel; three grandsons, Kyle Sensel, of Falling Waters, Trevor Ward, of Falling Waters and Trenton Sensel, of Hagerstown, Md.; two sisters, Barbara Beauchamp, of Hagerstown, Md., and Linda Huff, of Falling Waters; and his two best friends, Bud and Freebird.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy R. Sensel; and a brother, Mark R. Sensel.
Burial will be at the convenience of his family and a memorial service is to be held at a later date.
