Robert William Flowers, age 53, of Hagerstown, Md., died on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at his home.

Born July 11, 1962, in Springfield, Ma., he was the son of the late Homer and Geraldine M. (Simpson) Flowers.                          .

He was retired from the U.S. Navy, and was a life-member of the Joseph C. Herbert Post 222 American Legion, in Clear Spring, Md.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Sharon (Morris) Flowers, of Hagerstown, whom he married on January 20, 1990; daughters, Danielle Flowers and Brittany Flowers, both of San Diego, Ca., Amber Flowers, Caitlin Flowers and Alexis Flowers, all of Hagerstown; step-daughters, Kristy Payne, of Mercersburg, Pa., and April Eyller of Clear Spring, Md.; step-son, Robert Miller, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a sister, Kimberly Howell, of Hancock, Md.; a brother, Mike Flowers, also of Hancock; and grandchildren, Jayden Eyler, Shelby Payne, Avery Payne and Olive Friel.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Flowers.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Saturday, February 6, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held. Deacon James Mason will officiate.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Military honors will be conducted by the Tri-State Honor Guard.
