Ruby Swain

Ruby I. (Hull) Swain, age 84, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at her home.

Born in Hancock, on September 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy (Younker) Hull; and the wife of Adolph W. Swain.

She was a member of the Stone Bridge Church of The Brethren, near Hancock.

She enjoyed gardening and potting flowers.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Shelly K. Swain and her husband, George Dawson, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two sons, Bruce J. Swain and David Q. Helman, both of Hancock; four brothers, Andrew Hull, Ralph Hull, Ben Hull and Jesse Hull; and one sister, Agnes Hull.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at the Stone Bridge Church of The Brethren, Hollow Road, Hancock, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., with services to be held at 11:00 a.m.  Rev. Harry Strite will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock.
