Russell Junior Francis, age 58, of Hancock, died on Friday, November 4, 2016, near Big Pool, Md. as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born March 16, 1958, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of Ethel Mae (Miller) Francis, of Hancock, and the late Russell Francis; and the husband of Brenda Lee (Farmer) Francis, whom he married in Winchester, Va. on March 15, 1996.
He was a veteran, having served in the US Army.
He was employed as a fork-lift operator by Volvo, in Hagerstown.
He was a member of the UAW Carpenters Local Union 340, in Hagerstown.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is also survived by a son, Timothy Jesse Farmer, and wife, Misty, of Hancock; a sister, Janice Nelson and husband, Herman, of Great Cacapon, W.Va.; brothers, William Joseph Francis and wife, Tina, of Needmore, Pa., and Donald Lynn Francis and wife, Linda, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; and grandsons, Anthony and Brandon Kline. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, on Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., where memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt, Jr. will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. 21750, to help defray final expenses.
