Sarah J. “ Gin” Werdebaugh, age 63, died on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at her home.

Born July 16, 1951, in Fulton County, Pa., she was the daughter of Rose Ann Louise Johnson Kirk, of Warfordsburg, and the late William “Bud” Van Kirk, Jr.

She was employed with the Southern Fulton School District as a custodian.

Besides her mother, she is survived by one son, Ronnie W. Werdebaugh, Jr., of Warfordsburg; very best friends, Tink, Cheryl, Jackson, and Wyatt Funk, Tony, Tara and Casey-Jake Twigg; one sister, Shirley A. Younker, of Warfordsburg; two brothers, William Van Kirk, lll, and John Michael Kirk, both of Warfordsburg; one granddaughter; two nieces, Bobbi Jo Trovinger, and Candace Kirk; one nephew, Briar Kirk; and one great-niece, Whitney Brooke Trovinger.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Julia R. and William Van "Bill" Kirk, Sr.

A service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Damascus Christian Church, Big Cove Tannery, Pa. Rev. Timothy Close will officiate. Burial will be in the Damascus Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Church on Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m.
