Shelvey Jean Hull Morris, age 74 years, 5 months, and 6 days, died peacefully Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, N.Y., surrounded by her family and friends, after a battle with small cell lung cancer.
Born Monday, November 28, 1938, in Hancock, Md., she was the daughter of the late Roy Emerson and Mary Margarette Hoopengardner Hull.
With a heart so true and tender, she devoted her life to others with kindness and love. She was someone special. Her memory will live forever engraved within our hearts. We bless the years we spent with her and leave the rest to God.
She is survived by her beloved children, David and wife, Debbie, Teresa and husband, Rodney, Tim and wife, Lois, Craig and wife, Lisa, Bryan and wife, Vicky, Pam and husband, Rick, and Scott; two sisters, Violet A. Shaw, and E. Geraldine Cubbage; two brothers, G. Edward Hull, and John L. Hull; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Lee Clingerman; and one brother, Roy Eugene Hull.
A service will be held on Saturday May 11, at 11:00 a.m., at the Piney Plains United Methodist Church, 12708 Faith Circle, Little Orleans, Md. Rev. John D. Close will officiate. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Friday, May 10, from 7 to 9 p.m., and at the Church on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
