Susan Jean Hinckle, 76, passed away at Sunrise Senior Living, in Lawrenceville, GA., on June 13, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born January 13, 1946, in Waynesboro, PA. She was the daughter of the late Roy H. Weaver and Ruth Faye (Unger) Weaver and the wife, of 59 years of William F. Hinckle, Jr.
She graduated from Hancock High School, class of 1963.
She was retired as a school bus driver from Gwinnett County, Georgia School Systems. Previously, she was employed as a school bus driver for the Washington County, Maryland Board of Education. Early in her a career, she was employed at London Fog Coat Factory, in Hancock, MD.
She was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister and Nana and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Jeffrey Lynn Hinckle, and wife Michelle; a grandson, Harrison A. Hinckle; a granddaughter, Brooke Louise Hinckle, all of Athens, GA.; a sister, Linda K. McCarty, of Hancock, MD.; a sister-in-law, Linda D. Howell, of Frederick, MD.; a niece, Melissa N. Crampton, of Martinsburg, WV.; and her Special Friend, Patty A. Ward, of Hancock, MD.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 17, 2022, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St, Hancock, MD. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3738 Resley Rd, Hancock, MD. Pastor Kenneth Stottlemyer will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association National Area Chapter, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102.
