Vera Bohlman

Vera June Bohlman, age 81, of Hancock, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at her home.

Born March 29, 1929 in Cumberland , MD., she was the daughter of the late Andy H. and Beatrice Engle Schriever, and widow of Virgil John William Bohlman, whom she married January 5, 1957, in Berkeley Springs , WV. , and  who died December 6, 1982.

She was a member of T he Church of Latter day Saints, Hancock.

She was a homemaker and formerly employed by the G.C. Murphy Co., Hancock, and the Fort Frederick State Park, also as custodian of the LDS Church in Hancock, and Washington D.C. Temple.

She is survived by one brother Ralph Schriever of Warfordsburg; and three sisters, Ruth A. Oakman and Dorothy Turner, both of Warfordsburg, and Nancy Hiatt of Brighton, Colo .  Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded by one brother, Levearl Schriever and one sister, Norma R Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at T he Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, Hancock, with Bishop Mika Aloe officiating.  Burial will follow at Jerusalem Christian Cemetery , Warfordsburg , Pa.

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m., and at the church one hour prior to services on Thursday.
