Walter Woodrow Miller, age 95, of Warfordsburg, died Sunday, January 20, 2013, at the Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.
Born March 16, 1917, in Amaranth, Pa., he was the son of the late Jacob and Mary Magdeline Potts Miller, and the husband of the late Marie B. Fletcher Miller, who died on March 5, 2003.
He attended Oak Grove School, and was a graduate of Warfordsburg High School.
He was a self-employed farmer, and had been an employee of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Bednarski, of Martinsburg, W.Va., Kay McMillan, of Osage Beach, Mo., and Debra Miller, of Warfordsburg; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, and two brothers.
A service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md. Dr. Mark Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 10 to 11 a.m.
