Walter "Pudge" Reed

Walter “Pudge” Reed, age 51, of Hancock, MD passed away Monday, August 19, 2024.

Born Monday, June 11, 1973, in Hagerstown MD, he was the son of Pauline Mason Reed and the late Larry Reed.

Pudge enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing.

He worked for Hetzer Construction and Fleetwood for several years.

Pudge would take the shirt off his back for anyone who needed it. He was the best father, son, brother, grandfather, and nephew. 

He is survived by his mother, Pauline Mason Reed of Hancock, MD; one daughter, Angel Reed Stotler and husband Isaiah of Berkeley Springs WV; one grandson, River Stotler of Berkeley Springs, WV; one brother, Brad Reed and wife Lisa of Mercersburg, PA; and his aunt Sharon Reed of Hancock, MD.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Reed and one sister, Tammy Reed.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11:00am at Orchard Ridge First Church of God, 14128 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, MD. The family requests that anyone attending wear a bandana somewhere on them in honor of Pudge.
